Hofstra Pride tickets are now available for admission to the Mack Sports Complex- "the Mack" to Hofstra students and local Hempstead, NY residents. The Pride will be hosting Colonial Athletic Association teams like George Mason and Old Dominium in some intense inter-conference college basketball games, so get tickets as soon as possible.
NCAA basketball tickets at Hofstra used to be sold to watch the Hofstra Flying Dutchmen, but after a name change in 2005, tickets now say "Pride" on them. The name change may have helped to make the Hofstra men's basketball team a little better. The Pride, who had never won an NCAA Tournament game, won two postseason games in the 2006 NIT.
Hempstead, NY may not be the shining center of the college hoops world to the rest of the country. However, to the students and local residents around Hofstra University, once NCAA basketball season starts, nothing else matters much. The home games of the Hofstra Pride are always well-attended and the cheering section is enthusiastic.
